Matching funding for childhood cancer at MartiDerm
International Childhood Cancer Day was celebrated on 15 February. The MartiDerm Charitable Work Hands for Help charity was keen to foster an action that would get all the levels at #teamMartiDerm onboard.
We signed up to the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu initiative to hold a solidarity hot chocolate event to raise funds for research into childhood cancer.
With this donation we can help secure improvements for childhood cancer treatments and bring the dream we all want that bit closer: that one day all children and young people with cancer will be able to be cured!
On Friday 15 February we downed tools for half an hour to enjoy a hot chocolate and lady fingers given as a good cause by the Mauri cake shop and collected donations from attendees and others who were unable to be there but had donated through another of the various participation options.
Altogether the employees collected a total of €836, an amount then matched by the company to give a total donation by MartiDerm of €1,672!
Thank you to everyone who got involved. Solidarity is a benchmark corporate value that this event has enabled us to actualize again.
