MartiDerm and the Red Cross together for the sixth year
As part of the renewal of the collaboration agreement, we welcomed the chief executive of Red Cross Catalonia (Creu Roja Catalunya), Mr Antoni Aguilera, and other directors to the MartiDerm offices in Cervelló.
MartiDerm’s charitable work Hands for Help collaborates with the Red Cross's “Gente Mayor” programme with two skincare actions:
- Donation of a dermatological support kit with highly suitable products: LegVass emulsion for tired legs, Calamina Plus for irritations and itching and Hand Cream to moisturise hands and delicate areas.
- Information chats on skincare with tips for looking after the skin and explanations on product use: in this way we help ensure healthier ageing for recipients.
Present and future
Together we reviewed the evolution of the collaboration project. We are happy with the 2017 results and the improvements to make in 2018: we will deliver 15,000 hand creams to help 5,000 people. The head of the Red Cross said he appreciates our efforts to increase the number of creams donated every year, the profit from which goes entirely to social programmes. Mr Aguilera also thanked us for running more than 20 talks around the country.
We also shared other actions from our corporate social responsibility programme, such as the ‘healthy company’ concept we develop in-house with activities that foster healthy eating and exercise, among others.
Hands for Help contributes to the Red Cross’s healthy aging programme and is also aligned with the MartiDerm Smart Aging philosophy; we collaborate mutually by creating and adding value.
It was a pleasure to welcome the representatives of the organisation we’ve been partnering with for 6 years and to share our motivations and improvement challenges with them.
